Chris Kleinert oversees the real estate (Hunt Realty Investments), investment (Hunt Investment Group) and ranching operations (Hoodoo Land Holdings) for Hunt Consolidated, Inc.

Chris currently serves on the Board of Directors of Austin Street Center, the Executive Board of Directors of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, the Board of Trustees of the Southwestern Medical Foundation and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. He previously served on the boards of the Communities Foundation of Texas, the Cotton Bowl Foundation and the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. He was chair of the Board of Trustees at Parish Episcopal School as it started its expansion from a pre-K through 6th grade school to 12th grade. He also chaired the capital campaign for the Charles A. Sammons Tower at Methodist Health System – Dallas that is dedicated to emergency, trauma and critical care.

Chris served as the inaugural chairman of the Men's Advocacy Group (MAG) of New Friends New Life, an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering victims of sex trafficking. The MAG was created to mobilize men to take action against trafficking and exploitation by raising awareness through advocacy, education and volunteerism.

In 2017, Chris and his wife, Ashlee, co-founded The Good Foundation to understand and address social issues, and work with women and men who have faced unimaginable challenges towards building new lives.

Prior to joining Hunt in 1996, Chris was employed by Texas Commerce Bank (now JPMorgan Chase) and General Mills. He received an MBA with a concentration in finance from Texas Christian University and a BBA in marketing from Southern Methodist University.
